PAINT SEDONA 2026
Sunday, November 1st through Friday, November 6th
Incredible Instruction
You'll love the personal attention you receive during this "fun-tastic" painting retreat! And you'll have your choice of subjects, working from photos you take yourself or from some of the marvelous professional photos provided.
And you'll complete three paintings during the week!
Bruce alternates short demonstrations (10-15 minutes or less) with assisting students one-on-one, helping everyone complete each stage of the painting process. This "call & response" style makes it easy for everyone to create a work they're proud of, no matter your experience level.
Plus, all materials are provided, making travel easy and carefree.Â
Gorgeous
Accommodations
Your Sedona stay is even more special because of the beautiful home in which it's held. No driving back to a motel each night- you'll be sleeping in style under the same roof as the art studio, so you can paint anytime the mood strikes, whether you're an early bird or a night owl.
And the home has rooms to fit every need: from luxurious & spacious suites, to shared rooms for those on a budget, you're sure to have a restful stay, as every room is outfitted with luxury mattresses and premium bedding.
And did we mention that your Sedona retreat home enjoys exceptional views!
Delectable Dining
Of course, you'll need food to sustain your creative energies, and your dining experiences promise to be equally satisfying as your artistic pursuits.
Imagine relaxing in the common areas with a glass of wine and aromatic hors d'ouevres, before being called to the table by our personal chef.
But you'll get to experience some of Sedona's exquisite gastronomy, too, as we'll dine out occasionally at some of the area's most delectable restaurants.
And no need to worry if you have special dietary needs...we're well-accustomed to handling individual meal needs and preferences.

Why You'll Love Our Workshops:
All Materials Provided
At every BoA In-Person learning experience, we provide all materials for you, from canvases and paint to brushes, scrapers and other tools.
Why? Well, of course this makes it easier when you're traveling here from another state or country...who wants to try to fit all that equipment in their carry on?
But we also do it because we want you to feel truly FREE to paint and create...with no worries about how much paint you're using (we want you to use lots), whether or not to use your "good" canvas first (they're all good canvases), or if you're going to run out of paper towels (we have more of everything).
And sometimes, more is better.
Meals & Snacks Provided
Creativity can't run on an empty stomach...we're using brain cells here, breaking through barriers and learning in "full sponge" mode, and that takes fuel.
So every in-person session also comes with a wide array of beverages and snacks to keep you energized & satisfied (gluten free or other special dietary needs taken care of, too).
In many cases, your session will also include meals, whether a delicious lunch imported from a nearby restaurant, or a delectable dinner made & served in-house by our very own chef.
We want to make everything easy for you.
Small Class Sizes
We know how frustrating it is to select and pay for a workshop that promises to give you everything you're looking for, only to arrive and find the room so crowded that you can't really even SEE your instructor. Not so with Bruce on Art!
Bruce keeps class sizes low, so everyone gets a good seat. But there's another, more important reason he limits the number of students- so everyone also gets plenty of personal, one-on-one time and assistance from him!
Because Bruce is just as invested in your success as you are, so whether you want a quick opinion or his hands-on help, he's got time to devote just to you.
Customizable Curriculum
To facilitate growth and learning, most of the in-person learning sessions are structured with group demonstration periods followed by guided studio time, with all of the support photos and materials provided. But suppose you have an image of your own you were hoping to use?
In most cases, there's no problem adapting your painting to an image that's personal to you (as long as it's related to the lesson at hand). In fact, Bruce always has a color printer available, to assist with gridding and printing an image you've brought with you.
Plenty of Laughter, Too
If you're familiar with Bruce's teaching style, you've probably noticed that he likes to keep the atmosphere light and keep his students laughing, but you may not understand why.
At Bruce on Art, we believe that fear kills creativity- you can't possibly feel free to paint, explore, and learn if you are nervous or afraid of making a mistake.Â
And one of the greatest antidotes for fear is...you guessed it, laughter! SO come to your in-person session prepared to LAUGH- because it's going to help you paint, learn, grow, and create!

“I started painting about 15 years ago and have taken numerous art classes and workshops along the way. But I hit the jackpot last year! You are an artist so passionate and skillful in teaching art, generous in sharing EVERYTHING you know and genuinely dedicated to the success and well being of your students. And you do it with a sense of style, humor, gratitude and joy. I have learned so so much! You are a gift to all your members ♥️”Â

“Sofia the Cat is the second painting that I’ve ever done. I was a C student in Art class so this is pretty amazing! You have a special talent for enabling people like me to do something they never thought possible. Thank you!”Â
